A Christmas poem

Real Meaning of Christmas by Brian K. Walters

In todays day and time,
it's easy to lose sight,
of the true meaning of Christmas
and one special night.

When we go shopping,
We say "How much will it cost?"
Then the true meaning of Christmas,
Somehow becomes lost.

Amidst the tinsel, glitter
And ribbons of gold,
We forget about the child,
born on a night so cold.

The children look for Santa
In his big, red sleigh
Never thinking of the baby
Whose bed was made of hay.

In reality when we look into the night sky,
We don't see a sleigh
But a star, burning bright and high.

A faithful reminder,
Of that night so long ago,
And of the child we call Jesus,

Whose love, the world would know.

Merry Christmas to EVERYONE of my blog readers!

Wonderful Wednesday...I love you daddy!

~ Certain is it that there is no kind of affection so purely angelic as of a father to a daughter.

In love to our wives there is desire;

to our sons, ambition;

but to our daughters there is something which there are no words to express.

This is our Daughter...

Pre School pic Nov 2009

This Is Our Daughter
By Jill Work
THIS IS OUR DAUGHTER.

We adopted her,

but we will NOT be

referring to her as

"our adopted daughter."

She is simply "our daughter".

THIS IS OUR DAUGHTER--

and the niece of her aunts and uncles,

the grandaughter of her grandparents,

the cousin of her cousins,

and the sister of any future children

we add to the family

by biology or adoption.

THIS IS OUR DAUGHTER.

There is no "return policy"

on an adopted child.

The whole idea of adopting

is a lot like marriage.

You make a lifetime

commitment to a person

with no biological

relationship to you.

You promise to "love and cherish"

for "richer, for poorer,

for better, for worse,

in sickness and in health-

as long as we both shall live.

"THIS IS OUR DAUGHTER,

and we ARE her real parents.

She has birth parents

(sometimes called

biological parents),

but we are her Mom and Dad,

and always will be.

THIS IS OUR DAUGHTER,

and we love her.

We hope that you will too!

THIS IS OUR DAUGHTER.

FFF~~ Holiday Traditions!

A Holiday Tradition since Abby has come home is that I take the Christmas card pic of all the kids..AND EVERY year i laugh until i almost pee...

ITS seriously almost impossible to get a pic of all 4 kids together!!

Here are some outtakes of 2009 Christmas pics (taken last weekend)

Keep in mind i just got a new camera too..ha

~ This one would have been nice if i would have had the flash on and my kids face wasn't fuzzy!!

Abby was smelling something good...I know it wasn't the hound dog!!

SOMEONE had to bring her dinosaur into the pic and the Hound fell asleep..

The Hound says "Screw this I'm done, here's a butt shot for ya!"..

I'M not even going there w/ this pic! Brad has issues! ;o)

So NEXT year I'm hiring one of these...

So i can drink alittle less of this....

Dinosaur Christmas..

Ever year i put up 4 Christmas trees..

One 7ft and two 4 ft and one little 2 feet one!

I love trees!

Each tree has a different theme!

Well this year Abby wanted a Dinosaur tree!! DUH right?!

So i couldn't find Dino ornaments (geez really? LOL) so i took the small Dino toys and put hooks around their necks...

I labeled where i put the Dino's so you could see..UGLY? YOU BET !
To a 3 year old Dinosaur freak..Pure Beauty!

BUT WAIT guess WHAT I FOUND TODAY at TARGET?....

A SHE-Rex Dino ornament!!

TARGET you NEVER let me down!
